WHO WE ARE
We are a young, dynamic Swiss team. Sustainability and fairness play an important role in our lives. Our team consists of three different characters; Simon, who is responsible for everything connected to technology, Isabel, a trained decorator, who is an important pillar of our team due to her trained eye for design and placement, and last but not least, Balduin, a future social worker, who is responsible for the designs and the good atmosphere. This diversity is our strength.
OUR STORY
In 2018, Balduin received a screen print starter kit for his birthday. This led to the creation and printing of T-shirts for personal use. The designs Balduin created during his studies were always admired by his fellow students and colleagues and often made them smile. The dream of our own T-shirt label was born. Balduin and Isabel produced the first T-shirts with the screen printing process in their bathtub. Simon, a big fan of their designs, saw the potential in them and, as a result, bleibkind GmbH was founded in 2020.
OUR AMBTION
Our aim is to offer fair fashion at a fair price. We attach great importance to the quality of our organic products and in particular to fair working conditions for those employed during production.Through the cultivation of organic cotton and processing by a fair manufacturer, resulting in the fair production of textiles, jobs are created in Bangladesh where workers can find work under fair working conditions and thus enabling them to provide for their families.
We sell products from STANLEY/STELLA, a member of "Fair Wear". Fair Wear defines eight labor standards derived from ILO conventions and the UN Declaration of Human Rights that must be met. This means that the Fair Wear Code of Labor Practices is based on internationally recognized standards established through tripartite negotiations.
The labour standards of Fair Wear are:
1. Employment is freely chosen
2. Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining
3. There is no discrimination in employment
4. No exploitation of child labour
5. Payment of living wage
6. Reasonable hours of work
7. Safe and healthy working conditions
8. Legally binding employment relationship
We want our products to stand for fair and sustainable fashion. They are printed with our own designs intended to provide a childlike, simple, spontaneous feeling, which hopefully will put a smile on quite a few faces. If we succeed in this, a large part of our goal will be achieved. Importantly, we feel that our environmentally friendly clothing will help to contribute towards a better world. With each product sold, we improve a childs day in a precarious situation with the support of SOS Kinderdorf.
